JESUS SAVES but saves from what?

JESUS SAVES FROM "HELL" AND ETERNAL "DEATH".
    
In the Bible, Acts 4:12, we find one of the greatest truths of all truths. As Peter stood before the Sanhedrin, the most powerful, sophisticated, cultured, wealthy rulers of the Jewish people, the Holy Spirit gave him these words: "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other Name under heaven," meaning in the whole world, "given to men," as a gift from God " by which we must be saved."

Now, generally when we speak about this verse, people say, "This is too extreme for us. We believe in diversity and in accepting every way of salvation.

Do you really think Jesus Christ is the only Savior of the Jews as well as the Gentiles, including Indians, Chinese, Tibetans, and so on? Let me make it clear. There are only two paths, the broad way, which goes to "HELL," and the narrow way, which leads to "LIFE."

Go ahead, then, call me an extremist and a narrow-minded. Accuse me of believing in this absolute truth that Jesus Christ is the only Savior of the whole world. I do not mind. Peter's statement is true: " There is no other Name under heaven by which we must be saved."

What does it matter if this statement is true?

Well, suppose a doctor discovers a sure cure for AIDS. He will tell his patients, "You cannot be healed by anything else. If you come to me and take one of these pills, you shall be instantly healed. In fact, I can show you many people who were healed instantly. Not only that, this treatment is FREE!  Additionally, we welcome anyone who suffers from this disease."

If you were suffering from this debilitating disease, would you call this doctor an extremist and a narrow-minded person? Absolutely not, because everything he says is true, and you need his pill.

We need a God/man, a Savior, who can identify with God and with us. The only such Savior is the God/man Jesus Christ, true God and true man, who alone died for our sins, rose from the dead, is seated as King on the throne and even now is ruling the universe and His church.

It is He who died for our sins and was raised for our justification. It is He who saves us from the wrath of God, from "HELL" and from "DEATH." He is the ruler of the kings of the earth and he holds the keys of "HELL" and "DEATH."

May God help us to realize that salvation is found only in Jesus Christ. May we understand that we cannot save ourselves but we must receive this salvation through faith in Christ and administered by the Holy Spirit. And if the Holy Spirit is now granting you repentance and the gift of faith to trust in Jesus Christ alone, I urge you to act now. Tell him even now that you want to be saved, and you will be saved.

THE ROAD TO SALVATION.
If you have a Bible, please get it and follow along as we look at these scriptures.
Romans 3:10 "As it is written: "There is none righteous, no not one;"
Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God,"

Question: Does that include you?
1 John 1:10 "If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us."

Sin prevents God from being able to see us. He cannot look on sin. So many people do not really think that they sin. Jesus is without sin, therefore God can look on Him. When Jesus comes into our hearts, God can look unto us. Jesus therefore becomes our replacement.
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

It takes only one sin to send us on our way to "HELL," but God has given us a gift, eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. And here is how…
Isaiah 59:1-2 "Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that He cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that He cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear."

Notice the word does not say He cannot hear, it says He will not hear. This means that He chooses not to hear us unless we ask rightly.
1 John 1:7 "But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His son cleanses us from all sin."

This proves that we must have a savior. Someone to stand in the gap for us, between the Majesty of God and the depravity of sinful man. This man is Jesus.
John 3:3 "Jesus answered and said unto him, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.'"

Born Again? Either you are or you are not. If you are born again you will know it, for sure!  How can one be born again? You can be born again by believing that Jesus died for your sins. Why did He come to die for our sins?
John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

Jesus is the only way to the Father. He is the truth about God and the very life of God. No one can come to the Father, no one can enter into heaven except through Jesus Christ. So, what must you do to be saved?
Romans 10:9-10 "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

We must confess (speak out aloud) that we are sinners and that we believe Jesus died for our sins. We must believe that God actually raised Jesus from the dead. And you shall be saved! Not "might be saved," or "could be saved," but you "shall be saved." No ifs, ands or buts about it. You shall be saved! Guaranteed!
Revelations 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."

Jesus is standing at the door of your heart knocking. Will you hear His voice? Open the door of your heart, let Him come in and you will be with Him forever.

How do you know that this would happen to you?
Romans 10:13 "For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Question: Does that include you? Yes, Yes! Hallelujah! You are included in "whoever"!

May God help us all to repent and call on the name of the Lord Jesus. May we all be converted that we may emerge from death to life, from darkness to light, from hopelessness to peace and from hell to heaven.

To live with God for eternity!

Speak out aloud, talking to Jesus. He is listening to you right now.

 
  • Lord Jesus, based on what I just read I understand that there is no other way into heaven except through You.
  • I acknowledge and confess before You that I am a sinner.
  • Please forgive me all my wrongdoings and sins.
  • Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God.
  • I believe God raised You from the dead.
  • I invite You to come and live in my heart and I receive You as my Lord and Savior.
  • Thank You Heavenly Father that You loved me so much that You sent Your Son to die in my place, 
    in Jesus Name.

If you have just prayed the prayer above and sincerely meant every word, read on.

As you have gathered by now, the "being Born Again" experience is not a physical experience but a spiritual experience. God, by His mercy and grace, forgives us our sins and causes our spirit to be Born Again. How exactly He does it I do not know but what I know is, when it happened to me, I really felt brand new! I understood exactly what God means in 2 Corinthians 5 verse 17 when He says "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."

WOW! I some how knew that something in me changed. I started seeing things differently. I saw the green trees, heard the birds sing and all of a sudden I cared about people around me.

If you have sincerely prayed the prayer, do not be surprised when some of the things that happened to me starts to happen to you. It is even possible that you will experience a greater amount of change in your life. You will become more aware of God's love for you also.

God loves you very much and the Bible says that the angels rejoice over the decision that you have made. We as fellow born again Christians also rejoice over the fact that you are now, like us, a child of the living God. There are so many promises by God the Father for you but you have to look for them in His Word. You can also learn a lot faster if you join a local Christian church. A church where the uncompromised Word of God is taught. They will teach you many wonderful things in the Bible to help you in your daily Christian walk.

That's what I did! Jesus completely healed me from my skin disease. He delivered me from my drinking problem and set me free from smoking; cursing and all the bad things I used to do.

Jesus set me free and I have been serving Him ever sins. I have never looked back. I encourage you to go to church, pray to God in Jesus' Name, read your Bible and worship the Lord. Grow in your faith and enjoy the new life that is ahead of you!
